IFSC CLIMBING WORLD CUP 2008. GOSTINY DVOR, MOSCOW, RUSSIA

In Moscow, from October 31 until November 2, the Climbing World Cup 2008 (Bouldering and Speed competitions) took place in Gostiny Dvor, which is located about 100 meters from Red Square, within the most attended Russian sports exhibition “Ski & Board Salon.” JSA installed climbing walls (heights ranging from 4.5 to 14 meters) in the amphitheater area of Gostiny Dvor, specifically for these competitions.

A team of specialists made climbing routes for bouldering and speed, which are always considered to be the most spectacular parts of climbing. The same long route was used by physically handicapped people in the International Climbing Competitions – IFSC ParaClimbing Cup 2008.

For information: Moscow welcomes Climbing World Cup for the 4th time and for the 2nd time within the frame of the “Ski & Board salon” exhibition. Moscow stage of the Climbing World Cup 2006 had great success and attracted considerable attention from Mass media and spectators.

JSA acted as a partner of the Russian Climbing Federation for these competitions.

Additionally, as part of the exhibition, JSA built a temporary slide ramp construction for events demonstration in alpine skiing and snowboarding.
