THREE BIG EVENTS ON ONE STEEL MOUNTAIN. SLALOM, FREESTYLE AND SNOWBOARD – 2009

Three major international outdoor competitions under the auspices of the International Ski Federation (FIS) were held in Moscow on Vorobyovy Gory in early 2009:
On January 2, 2009, immediately after the New Year celebration, the first parallel slalom competition in this format took place on the World Cup stage.
– On February 14, 2009, on Valentine’s Day, the final stage of the Freestyle / Ski Acrobatics World Cup was held.
– On March 07, 2009, on the eve of International Women’s Day, the World Cup final in snowboarding was held in the most popular discipline – Big Air.

NOKIA SNOWBOARD FIS WORLD CUP 2008 & FREESTYLE SKI WORLD CUP IN MOSCOW

On February 9, 2008, on the Vorob’yovy Gory (Sparrow Hills), for the second year in a row, the stage of the NOKIA Snowboard World Cup was held in the most spectacular competition – Big Air. On March 1, was held the stage of the World Cup in ski freestyle (ski acrobatics). It was for the first time not in a famous mountainous place, but in the city of a megalopolis.

NOKIA SNOWBOARD FIS WORLD CUP 2007. STAGE OF BIG AIR COMPETITION IN MOSCOW

On February 9 and 10, in Moscow, at Vorobyovy Gory (Sparrow Hills), the Nokia Snowboard FIS World Cup 2007 held the Big Air competition. This sports event brought together the strongest athletes – winners and prize-winners of the Olympic Games, world, and European champions. The unique temporary ramp (trampoline) for the competition was specifically installed by JSA Stage Company in the area near the main building of Moscow University.

NOKIA SNOWBOARD FIS WORLD CUP. BIG AIR IN SAINT-PETERSBURG 2006

On March 4, 2006, the Nokia Snowboard FIS World Cup stage was installed in Saint Petersburg for the first time. More than 100 athletes from 17 countries took part in the Big Air competitions. JSA Stage Company installed a slide-ramp 30 meters high and 100 meters long on an open area near the Kirov Stadium, specifically for these competitions. This structure was built for the first time in the city on Neva. This was possible due to JSA’s good material base (Layher warehouse) and the experience gained from two events in 2002 and 2005 in Moscow. At that time, JSA was the only company that could handle such a task.

NOKIA SNOWBOARD WORLD CUP 2005. BIG AIR ON THE BIG RAMP IN MOSCOW

On January 9, 2005, the World Cup in snowboarding took place on the territory of the All-Russian Exhibition Center (referred to as VDNH in Soviet times) in Moscow. Especially for this event, JSA installed a ramp slope design (springboard) from the Layher Allround Scaffolding System elements. That was the second experience of the JSA team in constructing such structures in Russia. Before that, JSA installed a temporary ramp-slide structure for the first time in the country in 2002 on Vorobyovy Gory – NOKIA TOTALLY BOARD / BIG AIR 2002
