BIG ROCK NASHESTVIE IN BOLSHOE ZAVIDOVO, TVER REGION

From July 9 to 11, 2010, the rock festival “NASHESTVIE” was held for the second time near the rural settlement of Bolshoe Zavidovo. One of the largest open-air music events in Russia, after a break, returned to the Tver region in 2009. Previously, the festival was held here on the bank of the Volga River near the settlement of Emmaus / in 2004, 2005 and 2008. In 2006, the festival was held in the Ryazan region, and in 2007, it was cancelled due to a number of organizational issues. JSA remained the permanent contractor for the installation of stage structures for all these events.

Layher elements and the Prolyte 20×14 roof system for the main stage by JSA were used in the installation of the festival stages and other structures. The total length of the large stage was over 72 meters. Two small stages were installed in different places on the field – Positive and Alternative. Additional wall structures for external led-screens were also installed on the territory.

Main stage lineup

  • July 9: Korol i Shut, Okean Elzy, Chaif, and for the first time – the Globalis Symphony Orchestra.
  • July 10: Alisa, Priklyucheniya Elektronikov, Smyslovye Gallyutsinatsii, Aria, Krematoriy, Tantsy Minus, Zdob si Zdub, Chizh i Ko, Kipelov, Piknik, Pilot, Nochnye Snaipery, Mumiy Troll, Agatha Christie.
  • July 11: Tarakany!, Bricks, Lyapis Trubetskoy, Undervud, Nogu Svelo!, Vopli Vidoplyasova, Yu-Piter, Pelageya, Serga, Spleen, Mashina Vremeni, DDT.

Despite the fact that this year was the hottest summer in the history of the festival, “NASHESTVIE” 2010 was visited by about 150 thousand people over three days. Bolshoe Zavidovo is located next to the Leningradskoe Highway, 100 km from Moscow and 55 km from Tver.

An unusual phenomenon for a music festival with leading Russian rock bands founded during the Soviet era and young rock performers who began their creative work in post-Soviet Russia was the holding of a special air show on one of the days of the festival with the participation of pilots from the pilot groups “Strizhi” and “Russkie Vityazi”. Spectacular aerobatic flights were performed on SU-27 aircraft. The audience was pleased with the show, but the appearance of military equipment at a peaceful music festival was quite strange.

At the festival, the production manager from the JSA representative office in Europe, Andrey Dubkovs (Shuba), worked as a lighting designer for the groups ChaiF, Agata Kristi and DDT.

JSA has been the contractor for the NASHESTVIE festival for the installation of stages and other temporary infrastructure structures since 2000, when it began to be held outdoors. See more information about this in our articles at the links below.
