On September 15, 2005, Joe Cocker performed his first show at Palace (Dvortsovaya) Square in Saint Petersburg, with a capacity of about 10,000 spectators. He performed songs from his new album, “Heart & Soul,” as well as other popular hits from his collection, including the famous “You Can Leave Your Hat On” from the movie “Nine and a Half Weeks.” This unique evening in the style of blues and rock ballads on the city’s central square on the Neva passed in a good atmosphere, despite the fact that it had been raining in the morning. The audience who came to the concert enjoyed the performance of the “Officer of the Order of the British Empire” and his magical hoarse voice.
JSA company was a co-organizer of the concert and was responsible for resolving administrative issues with the city administration of St. Petersburg. They also managed the production of the technical part of the event, including the installation of a large stage and infrastructure facilities. Seating for 10,000 people was installed, creating an open-air concert hall.
