On September 21, 2005, the MTV channel held the Russia Music Awards 2005 ceremony on Vasilyevsky Spusk in Moscow. The brightest Russian and foreign performers and video clips of the year were honored, according to the music television viewers.
It was the second awards ceremony organized by MTV Russia (the first was held at the Kremlin Palace in 2004). According to the music channel’s version, the event was attended by famous Russian musicians and singers. Special guests included Korn, 69 Eyes, and Kelly Osbourne.
The ceremony was held on Vasilyevsky Spusk of Red Square near the wall of the Moscow Kremlin, in a unique pavilion specially built by JSA Stage Company for this case.
This construction weighed almost 200 tons, unparalleled in Russia. The area of the auditorium is about 2,000 square meters. Capacity: 750 seats + dancing floor for 600 people + fan zone for 150 people. Additionally, a backstage area and tents for infrastructure and production were installed. Besides, a small stage was installed on the roof of the pavilion to shoot individual performances of the show.
The structure of the concert hall was assembled from Layher Allround Scaffolding, Layher Event System, and Layher Cassette Roof.
