From August 4 to 6, 2006, one of the largest open-air festivals in Russia, “NASHESTVIE” (in English – INVASION) took place in the Ryazan Region on Cape Sredizemny (Mediterranean), located between the Oka River and Orekhovoye (Nutty) Lake. During the three days of “Rock Nashestvie,” three stages operated simultaneously: Central, Northern, and Southern. The festival participants included the best rock bands in the country, as well as teams playing alternative music. This year, the festival was visited by more than 80,000 people. JSA was the stage contractor for this event.
Stage structures were installed on the festival grounds using Layher systems. The main stage structure was traditionally mounted with a Layher Cassette Roof. JSA also installed other temporary infrastructure structures: two small stages, FOH, light towers, entrance arches, screen walls, tent tents, security barriers and fencing. Also, as is traditional, a spectator stand was installed to the side of the Main Stage, including for VIP guests of the festival.
Overall, the festival was held at a good level, especially in terms of ensuring the safety of all participants in the three-day music marathon. The organizers assumed, but did not expect, that so many people would come and they had to find many solutions for service already during the event. Despite the rainy weather, the concerts were a great success, but the dismantling of structures and equipment took place in difficult conditions of large puddles and washed-out soil on the site. Nevertheless, the experienced JSA team successfully coped with this work.
The festival “NASHESTVIE” was held for the first time in the Ryazan region, before that this large-scale rock music event was held twice in the settlement of Emmaus on the banks of the Volga River in the Tver region (in 2004 and 2005). And before that “NASHESTVIE” was held at the hippodrome in the city of Ramenskoye in the Moscow region (from 2000 to 2002). The company JSA was the contractor for the installation of stages and other structures for all these festivals.
