From August 5 to 7, 2005, one of the largest open-air rock festivals in Russia, NASHESTVIE (in English – INVASION), was held in the Tver Region. This large-scale event was held for the second time on the banks of the Volga River in the settlement of Emmaus. Over 53,000 people visited it in three days. This year, for the first time in the festival program, the musicians’ performances took place on three stages: the main one and two additional ones. For this, the JSA company, as a permanent developer and partner, installed the structures of the main big stage and two small stages.
All structures were installed from elements of Layher systems. On the main stage, the universal and reliable Layher Cassette Roof was used.
In addition, JSA built temporary structures in the backstage area: a platform for dressing tents, a two-story pavilion for technicians, a tent for press conferences and parties, etc. The area was equipped with towers for advertising sponsors and lighting, a VIP spectator stand for 800 seats, a special control room with a tower about 15 m high to accommodate a large inflatable volumetric logo of the radio station “Nashe Radio” – the main organizer of the event. JSA also installed security barriers (200 m) in front of the main stage and provided the organizers with sections of temporary fences – with a total length of about 700 meters.
Leading and popular rock musicians performed on the Main Stage of the Nashestvie 2005 festival:
- August 5: Agata Kristi.
- August 6: Linda, Animal ДжаZ, Gыndul Меци, Kirpichi, Chaif, Brothers Karamazov, Naiv, Kipelov, Kukryniksy, Korol i Shut, the headliner of this day was the DDT group.
- August 7: Masha i Medvedi, Lumen, Django, Tantsy Minus, Aria, Nogu Svelo!, Lyapis Trubetskoy, Umaturman, Neprikasaemye, Leningrad, Alisa.
The first time the festival “NASHESTVIE” took place in this picturesque place on a spacious square between the settlement of Emmaus and the Volga riverbed was in 2004. Last year the weather was rainy on the days of the concerts, which to some extent negatively affected the performances of the musicians and the mood of the audience. The territory of the festival was flooded with water and, after its completion, this complicated the work on dismantling the structures. Unfortunately, photo materials from this festival were not saved. Below we publish only a few surviving photos from last year’s event.

JSA has been cooperating with the NASHESTVIE festival since 2000, when it began to be held outdoors. The idea for the first venue at the hippodrome in the Moscow region town of Ramenskoye was suggested by Alexander Strizhak. After that, the open air festival was held there for three years in a row:

Audience: more than 62 thousand.
NASHESTVIE – 2001

NASHESTVIE – 2002

JSA was the stage contractor for these events and, in collaboration with the organizers (NASHE RADIO, Live Sound and RISE), each year brought in new interesting ideas for stage design.
In 2003, the NASHESTVIE festival was cancelled due to the terrorist attack on the Moscow Krylya festival. JSA is a regular stage contractor for this festival, which takes place annually at the Tushino airfield.
