RETURN OF THE NASHESTVIE TO EMMAUS IN THE TVER REGION

From July 4 to 6, 2008, the rock festival “NASHESTVIE” (in English – INVASION) was held once again in the Tver region. This is one of the largest open-air music events in Russia, after a two-year break, again returned to the banks of the Volga. In 2006, the festival was held in the Ryazan region, and last year, in 2007, it was cancelled due to a number of organizational issues. In April 2008, representatives of “Nashe Radio” and the organizing committee of the festival “Emmaus” decided to merge the two largest Russian festivals – “Nashestvie” and “Emmaus”. The combined festival continued to be called “Nashestvie”, and the venue again became the already well-known site near the village of Emmaus.

This merger brought new opportunities and good results. This year the festival was visited by more than 100 thousand people. And JSA, already on a permanent basis of cooperation, was the contractor for the installation of stage structures.

At the now familiar festival site, the company installed the main large stage and two additional small stages. FOH towers, screen walls, pavilions, platforms, lighting towers, entrance arches and other auxiliary infrastructure structures were also installed. All structures were assembled from Layher systems. The Layher Cassette Roof was used for the main stage. In addition, JSA provided 200 meters of crowd barriers and about 700 meters of fencing for the festival.

Famous rock bands and young, aspiring, but already popular musicians performed on the festival stages, and performers from related musical genres also gave their performances.

The list of participants of the headliners of the main stage:

  • July 4: Agata Kristi, Alisa.
  • July 5: Surganova and the orchestra, Kukryniksy, Underwood, Nochnye Snaipery, Moralny Kodeks, Vopli Vidoplyasova, Bi-2, Tarakany!, Spleen, Bravo, Piknik, Korol i Shut.
  • July 6: Smyslovye Gallyutsinatsii, Chizh & Co, Oleg Gorshkov, Priklyucheniya Elektronikov, Time-Out, Leningrad, Pilot, Pelageya, Naiv, SerGa, Lyapis Trubetskoy, U-Piter, Krematoriy, Aria, DDT.

During the festival, despite the fact that the festival days were moved from early August to early July, the weather was changeable and on the last day there was heavy rain. This did not prevent the concerts from being held, but, as has already become “tradition”, it complicated the work of dismantling and removing the structures. However, the JSA team, having experience working in similar conditions, successfully completed the job. Despite the fact that it was necessary to call and use local tractors to pull the trucks out of the soft soil.

JSA has been the contractor for the NASHESTVIE festival for the installation of stage and other temporary infrastructure structures since 2000. See more information about this in our articles at the links below.
