On July 22, 2006, a big “Red Summer 2006” concert was held on Red Square (Vasilyevsky Spusk) in Moscow. It was an enchanting music festival organized by MTS – one of the largest mobile operators in the country. The entrance was free, and there were about 50,000 spectators, including 1300 on special tribunes for VIP guests.
Black Eyed Peas and Shakira played their concerts for the first time in Russia. Famous Russian singers, the duo t.A.t.U and Dima Bilan, performed on the stage before them.
