CHARITY CONCERT OF PLACIDO DOMINGO ON THE RED SQUARE IN MOSCOW

On July 18, 2001, Placido Domingo performed in a charity concert on the Red Square in Moscow.

The famous tenor’s performance was accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Russia, with Eugene Kohn from the USA serving as conductor. The concert lasted over an hour and thirty minutes.

This unique concert program included traditional classical songs – Puccini, Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, Strauss, Verdi, and others. There were also some songs of Bernstein and Rogers.

Audience: Among the 2,500 spectators were 1,200 students from music schools and colleges who received free tickets. Additionally, there were approximately 500 special guests and journalists in the stands who were invited by the organizers.

JSA was the main technical contractor at this event. It managed the production and installed a large stage, temporary infrastructure structures, and two VIP tribunes for guests.
