Terrorist attack in Moscow
Rock Music Festival Wings

On July 5, 2003, the fourth festival Wings (Kryl’ya) was held in Moscow at the airfield in Tushino.

The members are popular Russian rock bands. During the day there were about 60,000 spectators.

Special tragic moment:

During the festival, near the border of the territory of the airfield, a terrorist act occurred (it happened under strange circumstances and still does not have all the answers).

Blown up suicide bombers moved from the subway station in the direction of the festival box office near main entrance. The blast killed 15 people and many were injured.

To avoid a panic and possible crush of people – the festival organizers did not stop the concert. And many viewers learned about the explosion after show from the news.
