On August 27, in the center of Chișinău on the Square of the Great National Assembly (Romanian: Piața Marii Adunări Naționale) was held the Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova (celebrated since 1991). 32 years ago, hundreds of thousands of people gathered at the same place and declared Moldova an independent state.
JSA Europe / Stage Company installed a large stage area (front length of approximately 56 meters) for this premier event in the country. Five towers (walls) were also built for LED screens (three 12 meters high and two on the sides 10 meters high). In addition, the company installed two roof systems on the stage (both 12m x 10m). All structures were assembled from elements of Layher systems.
The stage complex was installed in front of the Government House and opposite the Arc de Triomphe and the Stefan cel Mare Public Park, where the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ is located nearby.
During the official ceremony, the President of Moldova Maia Sandu, and Prime Minister Dorin Recean made a celebratory speech on the stage built by JSA Europe.
Then military bands performed on the square, and the celebration continued with performances by folk groups, dance ensembles, and folk music performers, including a performance by the National Ballet “Zhok”.
In the evening was a concert with the participation of Moldovan artists and musicians from the diaspora, such as Alexandra Conunova (Switzerland), Martina Meola (Italy), Pavel Efremov (Germany), Lilia Istrati (Romania), Andrei Zhilikhovsky. (France), Cesar Moldovanu (Moldova), pianists Stanislav Jar and Laura Balikov (Netherlands), timbalists Ion Curteanu (Hungary) and Alexandru Olaru (Moldova)
