JSA took part in the competition (tender) for the installation of a pavilion structure for receiving VIP guests of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. The popular TV music show will take place this year from May 13 to 17 in the Swiss city of Basel. According to the assignment of the organizing committee, an original pavilion structure had to be developed to create a special hospitality zone for the event. This temporary structure should accommodate up to 1,000 guests and the corresponding infrastructure for their meeting and comfortable stay during the live broadcast in the nearby St. Jakobshalle sports complex – the main venue for the contest.
The available free area on the sport complex site did not allow for the installation of a standard tent pavilion of the required size for such a task. In this regard, JSA proposed an original engineering solution – to install a two-story structure made of Layher systems and thus create the necessary space for this case. This concept was accepted by the organizing committee as the main one. Of course. such a building had to be safe and reliable, have lighting, ventilation, heating and air conditioning systems. All this was included in the proposal from JSA, including obtaining documents on the static calculations of the structure.
Next, the applicant for the production of this part of the event had to make an additional offer to fill the hall with furniture, bars, a cloakroom, equipment (light, sound, screen), high-comfort sanitary cabins, a room for catering, decorate the walls with fabrics, create a creative concept for the facade wall in the style of a traditional Swiss chalet and much more. This part is not a direct type of activity of the JSA company. Therefore, we involved familiar companies specializing in these areas in the project, as well as an artist-decorator to create a concept for the design of the main entrance. According to the tender assignment, it should be like a traditional Swiss chalet in the Alpine mountains.
Thus, the company submitted a full package of documents to the tender committee. Unfortunately, another contractor was selected as a result of the tender. As we assume, it will probably be some local company, which will allow the organizers to reduce the budget of expenses by reducing the costs of transportation, crew travel, accommodation and food for installers. When JSA decided to participate in this tender, our team understood that this factor would most likely be decisive in choosing a supplier.
Nevertheless, we are pleased and satisfied with the fact that JSA had the opportunity to participate in the preliminary stage in preparation for participation in a possible production for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. JSA already has experience in working for this famous show:

Currently, since 2019, based on this experience, JSA has a separate line of business within the concept of installing temporary structures for various events. This joint project with Asteris Koutoulas and with the support of the Layher plant is called FLEXODROM.
