CREATION OF THE WORLD. THE SECOND FESTIVAL IN KAZAN

On June 27, 2009, the second festival called Creation of the World (Sotvoreniye Mira in Russian) was held in Kazan.

The festival featured more than 20 musical groups. Headliners on the Double Stage were DDT (Russia), Manu Chao (France-Spain), Mumiy Troll (Russia), Vopli Vidoplyasova (Ukraine), The Rifles (England), and Nino Katamadze (Georgia).

The audience was more than 200,000 people throughout the day.

EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2009. RUSSIA, MOSCOW, OLYMPIC STADIUM

From May 12 to 16, 2009, the Eurovision Song Contest was held in Moscow. There had been 54 competitions before that, and it was the first time in Russia. All preliminary and final shows were held in the Sports Complex Olimpiyskiy. This event had a large-scale production with various designs. A lot of Layher scaffolding, Prolyte structures, and other trussing and rigging systems were used.

THREE BIG EVENTS ON ONE STEEL MOUNTAIN. SLALOM, FREESTYLE AND SNOWBOARD – 2009

Three major international outdoor competitions under the auspices of the International Ski Federation (FIS) were held in Moscow on Vorobyovy Gory in early 2009:
On January 2, 2009, immediately after the New Year celebration, the first parallel slalom competition in this format took place on the World Cup stage.
– On February 14, 2009, on Valentine’s Day, the final stage of the Freestyle / Ski Acrobatics World Cup was held.
– On March 07, 2009, on the eve of International Women’s Day, the World Cup final in snowboarding was held in the most popular discipline – Big Air.

IFSC CLIMBING WORLD CUP 2008. GOSTINY DVOR, MOSCOW, RUSSIA

In Moscow, from October 31 until November 2, the Climbing World Cup 2008 (Bouldering and Speed competitions) took place in Gostiny Dvor, which is located about 100 meters from Red Square, within the most attended Russian sports exhibition “Ski & Board Salon.” JSA installed climbing walls (heights ranging from 4.5 to 14 meters) in the amphitheater area of Gostiny Dvor, specifically for these competitions.
