On July 24, 2004, the rock festival “KRYLYA” (in English – WINGS) was held in Moscow. It usually took place on the territory of the Tushino airfield, but this year the organizers had to change the location of the event and hold it on an open square on the territory of the sports park complex “Luzhniki”. This was due to the fact that last year during the festival a terrorist act occurred in the immediate vicinity and this tragic circumstance influenced the change of location.
In this case, JSA remained the permanent contractor for the installation of stage and other structures. Two stages were installed on the square in Luzhniki – the Main Bolshaya and the Second Small. FOH towers, delay sound towers, walls for screens and pavilions for the press and technical team were also installed. All structures were installed from elements of Layher systems. For the Main Stage, a Layher cassette roof of 20 m x 15.5 m was used, and for the Second Stage, a Prolyte MPT roof system of 12 m x 10 m was used. In addition, 200 meters of safety barriers and 350 meters of fencing were installed.
The central tower decorated in the form of a large Mill was especially eye-catching. This design has already become traditional, since the main sponsor of the festival is the beer brand “Stary Melnik” (in English -The Old Miller). The fifth WINGS festival was visited by more than 40 thousand people in one day.
The main participants of the festival this year were:
Pilot, AuktsYon, Piknik, 5’nizza, Aria, Korol i Shut, Kirpichi, Vopli Vidopliassova, Tarakany!, Bi-2, Alisa, Zveri, Garik Sukachev i Neprikasaemye, Spleen and other popular rock musicians.
JSA has been the permanent contractor of installation for stage and other temporary structures for the WINGS festival since 2002. For more information about our staging for previous festivals, see the links below:
