JSA & “THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS” MOVIE

Filmmaker Vasili Pichul has died. R.I.P.
(June 15, 1961 — July 26, 2015).

It is sad news for us. JSA had a positive experience with Vasili and his team on the set of the film “The Sky With Diamonds” (Небо в Алмазах). We have built many original designs from elements of Layher and aluminium trusses. It was an interesting project with a creative atmosphere in working together with the film crew.

THE BIG LAYHER DESIGN IN MOSCOW

In the autumn of 2009, a large pavilion structure was established in Moscow on Mira Avenue (Avenue of Peace). It was used for a few months for the restoration works of the famous monument of the Soviet time – Worker and Kolkhoz Woman (sculptor Vera Mukhina). This construction consisted of three systems – Layher Allround Scaffolding, Layher Cassette Roof, and Layher Protect. The beautiful modern “building” had: a width of 25m, a length of about 50m, wall height: one part 21m, the second part 27m. A crane could work inside the pavilion under the roof, lifting the multi-ton parts of the monument.

EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2009. RUSSIA, MOSCOW, OLYMPIC STADIUM

From May 12 to 16, 2009, the Eurovision Song Contest was held in Moscow. There had been 54 competitions before that, and it was the first time in Russia. All preliminary and final shows were held in the Sports Complex Olimpiyskiy. This event had a large-scale production with various designs. A lot of Layher scaffolding, Prolyte structures, and other trussing and rigging systems were used.

IFSC CLIMBING WORLD CUP 2008. GOSTINY DVOR, MOSCOW, RUSSIA

In Moscow, from October 31 until November 2, the Climbing World Cup 2008 (Bouldering and Speed competitions) took place in Gostiny Dvor, which is located about 100 meters from Red Square, within the most attended Russian sports exhibition “Ski & Board Salon.” JSA installed climbing walls (heights ranging from 4.5 to 14 meters) in the amphitheater area of Gostiny Dvor, specifically for these competitions.
